Teltonika Router Login: Access Your WebUI

Teltonika makes industrial 4G and LTE routers, the RUT series, used for remote sites, vehicles, and business connectivity. They log in at 192.168.1.1, and here is the detail that catches people out: the default password is admin01, not the admin/admin many websites list. How to Log In to a Teltonika Router

1. Connect the router to your computer with an Ethernet cable. Teltonika’s guidance is to disconnect your PC from Wi-Fi first to avoid IP conflicts during setup.
2. Open a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
3. In the address bar, type http://192.168.1.1 and press Enter.
4. Enter the username and password. See the next section.
5. Click Login.

The classic Teltonika default is admin as the username and admin01 as the password. Many third-party websites incorrectly list admin/admin for Teltonika, which is why people often think their login is broken. The correct default is admin01.

Importantly, certain devices and production batches ship with a randomly generated unique password instead of admin01, printed on the product label sticker. Teltonika notes that for RUT950 units, this change began at a specific batch number, which you can find on the label. So if admin01 is rejected, check the sticker on the bottom of the router.

Some deployments, particularly routers supplied by a service provider, use a different preconfigured password format based on the serial number, again printed on the label at “Def. password.”

You Must Change the Password on First Login

Teltonika enforces a password change, which is worth knowing before you start. After logging in with the default credentials, you are required to set a new password before you can use the WebUI at all. This step is mandatory, and you cannot interact with the router until it is done.

The new password must contain at least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one digit. How to Change Your Teltonika Wi-Fi Name and Password

1. Log in to the WebUI at 192.168.1.1.
2. Go to Network, then Wireless.
3. Select an SSID and click Edit.
4. In the General Setup window, enter your Wi-Fi network name in the ESSID field.
5. Open the Wireless Security window, set the encryption to WPA2-PSK, and enter your new Wi-Fi password in the Password or Key field.
6. Click Save and Apply.

What to Do If You Cannot Log In

The page will not load. Confirm you are connected to the router by Ethernet and that your PC is disconnected from other Wi-Fi networks, which prevents IP conflicts. Then confirm your gateway by pressing Windows + R, typing cmd, running ipconfig, and reading the “Default Gateway” line. admin01 is rejected. Your unit likely has a unique generated password. Check the product label sticker on the bottom of the router, which lists the default password for your specific device.

You are in a managed deployment. If a provider preconfigures the router, the password may follow their own format, listed on the label or in their documentation.

How to Reset a Teltonika Router

A factory reset returns the device to its default settings and erases all custom configuration. One useful detail: the SIM PIN on the main SIM card is kept after a factory reset, unlike everything else.

1. With the router powered on, press and hold the Reset button for about 15 seconds, until the device restarts.
2. Wait for it to reboot fully.
3. Log in at 192.168.1.1 with admin and admin01, or the unique label password for newer units.
4. Set a new password when prompted, then run the Configuration Wizard again.

Teltonika also offers bootloader-based recovery options for advanced situations, where the router always uses 192.168.1.1 and you set a static IP such as 192.168.1.2 on your computer to reach it.
