EnGenius Router Login: Access Your Admin Panel

EnGenius makes business and prosumer networking gear, including routers, the EWS and Neutron managed access points, and outdoor wireless equipment. Most EnGenius devices log in with the username and password admin, at either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 depending on the model. How to Log In to an EnGenius Router

1. Connect your computer to the device, ideally with an Ethernet cable into a LAN port. EnGenius recommends a wired connection for setup, so you are not logged off when saving changes.
2. Open a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
3. In the address bar, type your model’s IP address and press Enter. Most EnGenius routers use 192.168.1.1, while many EnGenius access points use 192.168.0.1. To confirm you are connected, you can run ping 192.168.1.1 in Command Prompt first.
4. Enter the username and password.
5. Click Login or OK.

The standard EnGenius default is admin for both the username and password, all lowercase. The main variable is the address: routers tend to use 192.168.1.1, and access points often use 192.168.0.1, so if one does not load, try the other.

The credentials are case-sensitive. Because some EnGenius gear is provider-supplied or preconfigured, the label on the bottom of the device is the definitive source, and it lists the exact IP address, username, and password for your unit.

EnGenius Cloud and Managed Access Points

Worth knowing if you have EnGenius access points, since many are designed for central management. Beyond the local web interface, EnGenius devices can be managed through EnGenius Cloud, a platform for configuring and monitoring many access points at once from a single dashboard, which is common in business deployments. Older managed lines used the Neutron series with ezMaster or an on-site controller.

For a single router or access point at home or in a small office, the local login covered here is all you need. In a managed deployment, most configuration happens in EnGenius Cloud rather than device by device, and the local page is mainly for setup and troubleshooting.

How to Change Your EnGenius Wi-Fi Name and Password

1. Log in at your device’s address.
2. Select Network, then Wireless.
3. Under Wireless Settings, select an SSID and click Edit.
4. Enter your new network name in the SSID field.
5. Enter your new password in the Passphrase field.
6. Click Save, then apply the change.

What to Do If You Cannot Log In

The page will not load. Confirm you are using the right address. Try 192.168.1.1, then 192.168.0.1, since EnGenius uses both across its range.

• Confirm your gateway. On Windows, press Windows + R, type cmd, run ipconfig, and read the “Default Gateway” line, or ping the address to check the device responds. If it still will not open, see our guide on what to do when you cannot access the router web interface.
• Check your cabling. Make sure the internet cable is in the port labeled WAN, and your computer is plugged into a LAN port.

The password is rejected. Try admin/admin, then check the label for a unique password. The login is case-sensitive.

Set your device to obtain an IP automatically. If your computer has a static IP from a previous setup, it may be on the wrong subnet. Switch to obtaining an address automatically.

The device is cloud-managed. If it is managed through EnGenius Cloud, the local password may have been changed, so check the cloud dashboard or with your administrator.

How to Reset an EnGenius Router to Factory Settings

A factory reset erases everything and restores the default login. Use it only when locked out, after trying every other way in.

1. With the device powered on, find the recessed Reset button.
2. Use a pin or paperclip to press and hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds, until the device restarts.
3. Wait for it to reboot, then log in with admin and admin at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.

For a cloud-managed access point, a reset can disconnect it from EnGenius Cloud, so coordinate with your administrator in a managed deployment.
