Cudy Router Login: Access Your Admin Panel
Login address
192.168.10.1
Opens your router's admin login page. Works only on your own network.
Cudy makes affordable Wi-Fi 6 routers, mesh systems, and VPN-capable models, many built on OpenWrt. You log in at 192.168.10.1 or the web name cudy.net, and the default password is admin, though newer units ask you to create your own on first login. One point that trips people up: the 8-digit code on the label is your Wi-Fi password, not the admin password. This guide covers the login, that distinction, and how to change your Wi-Fi.
How to Log In to a Cudy Router
- Connect your computer to the router, ideally with an Ethernet cable into a LAN port. A wired connection avoids being logged off when you save changes.
- Open a web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- Click the address bar at the top of the browser and type 192.168.10.1, or the web name http://cudy.net, then press Enter.
- Choose your display language if prompted, then enter the password. See the next section.
- Click Login to reach the admin panel.
Default Password for Cudy Routers
| Login address | Username | Password |
|---|---|---|
| 192.168.10.1 or cudy.net | admin (if shown) | admin |
| Newer units | (none) | you create one at first login |
The default Cudy password is admin, all lowercase, and on many models there is no separate username or it is also admin. On newer routers and firmware, the first login prompts you to create your own password instead of using a default, and that becomes your login from then on.
The password is case-sensitive, so watch for auto-capitalization of the first letter and check that Caps Lock is off.
Important: The Label Code Is Your Wi-Fi Password
This is the single most common Cudy login mix-up, so it is worth being clear. The 8-digit code printed on the label on the bottom of the router is the default Wi-Fi password, used to join the wireless network. It is not the admin password for logging in to the settings page.
So if you are at the 192.168.10.1 login screen and the label’s 8-digit code is being rejected, that is expected. Use admin for the admin login, or the password you created at first setup. Use the label code only when connecting a device to the Wi-Fi.
How to Change Your Cudy Wi-Fi Name and Password
- Log in at 192.168.10.1 or cudy.net.
- Click General Settings in the menu.
- Select the 2.4G Wireless icon, or 5G for the other band.
- Enter your new network name in the SSID field.
- Set the encryption to WPA2-PSK (shown as WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK).
- Enter your new password, at least 8 characters, in the Password field.
- Click Save & Apply.
After saving, every device drops off the Wi-Fi and reconnects with the new key. Set the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands separately, and use a password of at least 12 characters with no personal details. Our full guide on how to change your Wi-Fi password walks through it for any router.
What to Do If You Cannot Log In
The page will not load. Confirm you are connected to the Cudy router and using the right address.
- Try both 192.168.10.1 and cudy.net.
- Confirm your gateway. On Windows, press Windows + R, type
cmd, runipconfig, and read the “Default Gateway” line, or ping 192.168.10.1 to check the router responds. If it still will not open, see our guide on what to do when you cannot access the router web interface.
The password is rejected. Use admin, not the 8-digit label code, which is the Wi-Fi password. On newer units, use the password you created at first login. Watch for case sensitivity and auto-capitalization.
Check your cabling. Make sure the internet cable is in the WAN port and your computer is in a LAN port.
Make sure you are connected to the router. The admin page only loads from within your own network, not over mobile data or a VPN.
How to Reset a Cudy Router to Factory Settings
A factory reset erases everything and restores the default login. Use it only when locked out.
- With the router powered on, find the recessed Reset button on the back.
- Use a pin or paperclip to press and hold it for about 3 to 10 seconds, until the lights blink.
- Release and wait a minute or two for the router to restart.
- Log in at 192.168.10.1 with admin, or create a new password if prompted, then set up the router again.
Wrapping Up
Logging in to a Cudy router means going to 192.168.10.1 or cudy.net and entering admin, or the password you created on newer units. The key thing to remember is that the 8-digit code on the label is your Wi-Fi password, not the admin login, which is the mix-up that stops most people. Once you are in, change the default admin password and set a strong Wi-Fi key, and if you have a VPN-capable Cudy model, you can configure that from the same admin panel.
Frequently asked questions
What is the default login for a Cudy router?
The default password is admin, at 192.168.10.1 or cudy.net, with admin as the username where one is shown. Newer Cudy routers ask you to create your own password on first login instead of using a default.
What is cudy.net?
It is the web name for logging into a Cudy router, an alternative to typing 192.168.10.1. Enter http://cudy.net in your browser while connected to your Cudy router, and it takes you to the same login page.
The 8-digit password on my Cudy label does not work for login. Why?
Because that 8-digit code is your default Wi-Fi password, used to join the wireless network, not the admin password for the settings page. For the admin login, use admin, or the password you created at first setup. Use the label code only to connect to the Wi-Fi.
How do I change my Cudy Wi-Fi password?
Log in at 192.168.10.1 or cudy.net, click General Settings, select the 2.4G or 5G Wireless icon, enter a new SSID, choose WPA2-PSK encryption, enter a new password of at least 8 characters, and click Save & Apply. Set each band separately.
192.168.10.1 will not open my Cudy router. What should I try?
Try the web name cudy.net instead, and confirm your gateway with ipconfig on Windows. Make sure your computer is set to obtain an IP automatically and that you are connected to the Cudy router, not mobile data or a VPN.
I forgot my Cudy admin password. What can I do?
A factory reset restores the default. Hold the recessed Reset button for about 3 to 10 seconds until the lights blink. This erases all your settings, so you will set up the router again and log in with admin or create a new password.
